Kimmie Harding

Kimmie is the person I spent the most time with for about three months. I drove her to school, we had lunch together, went to cross country practice together, and then I drove her home. Some days I would then drive her to and from pasta parties.

She lives super close to me so it’s very easy for me to just pick her up and take her with me wherever I need to go. But as a result, I now know a whole lot more about her.

For example, Kimmie loves meat. She eats a meat sandwich every single day for lunch. These sandwiches come in variations, from just steak, to chicken, bacon and sausage sandwiches. It depends on the day. Sometimes if she doesn’t have enough bread she just brings meat in a bag.

November 4th, 2019

On this day Kimmie did not have enough bread for her meat sandwich. She also did not have enough time to pack her lunch. As you can see in the picture, she brought two bags. One bag had two very large slices of ambiguous meat, and the other contained one half of a hamburger bun. In the picture we see Kimmie, eating a slice of meat in half of a hamburger bun, folded up like a taco. This is honestly a typical lunch of her.

Kimmie’s love of meat is well known by the entire cross country team. We have a list of quotes of the things she says. I will place them throughout this blog.

“THEY DON’T SELL THE SAUSAGES AT COSTCO”

-Kimmie Harding at a cross country meet. Said in extreme distress after finding out her favorite sausages weren’t being sold at Costco anymore.

Another thing we know about Kimmie is her fear of Ms.Gounis. I consider this fear to be entirely irrational, and Clarissa agrees. So of course, yesterday, when Ms. Gounis asked us where we were going during lunch we told her. We then asked her to come and visit us because Kimmie is afraid of her.

When Ms. Gounis entered the room Kimmie turned bright red. It was hilarious, but Kimmie said she considered it traumatic. That was definitely her using hyperbole for comedic effect though.

“MARY WE’RE GETTING MEAT TODAY”

Mary Teeple’s Dad is an excellent cook and he cooks meat for Kimmie’s family. This is one of the most exciting things for Kimmie because she loves meat so much.

Kimmie also loves dogs. She has a picture of my dog Sasha on her water bottle because Sasha is one of her favorite dogs.

Since Kimmie and I drove together every single day for so many weeks, we also have a few traditions.

The most important of which is that every time we are in the car together and it is not 7 am, we scream the song Since U Been Gone. (7 am is just too early. No one has energy for that) But it started on the way home from one pasta party when we were just a little too hyped up on sugar. Since U Been Gone came on, and we turned it all the way up and screeched all of the words at the top of our lungs.

hi-Joy

at lunch I made a new group chat for some cross country people in order to try and organize a sleepover on Sunday night. Writing my usual obnoxious and weird text telling people all of the information they would need to know was one of the most difficult things I’ve had to this week. Where it would have usually taken me a few seconds, I stared at my phone for a solid three minutes unable to start it. I am so out of practice. It’s a true tragedy.

That being said I am really excited for the sleepover. Clarissa thinks she can come, which is excellent because she missed the first one due to stinky work. And I really miss everyone on the team. So much so that I am genuinely considering running track, even though I ended my cross country season in a way that I would only have done on the assumption that I would not be seeing coach Nabo again.

Now back to Kimmie for a little bit. On New Years Eve she had “a pile of meat” which consisted of steak ribs and chicken wings. Also today she was slurping apple sauce.

Okay I am getting very distracted so I’m going to zoom through the next twenty words and then post this. Bye.
